The Sunderland branch of Manbat Ltd was acquired from R. Thursby Ltd an established autoelectrical company in 2006. R. Thursby had been a customer of Manbat for several years before the acquisition. Now Manbat Ltd has taken the opportunity of the acquisition to expand sales dramatically in the North East of England.
The branch is managed by Colin Crawford who is ably assisted by Don Simpson, Gordon Dickinson, Paul Wilson and Melvyn Pace. Responsible for sales is Area Sales Manager Paul Dyer who had many years experience previously with Exide Batteries.
It is hoped that this branch will soon relocate to new warehouse premises in the locality as the wholesale component of its business increases.
